Guadalupe Rodriguez recently earned his GED certificate with help from STC’s Continuing, Professional and Workforce Education Program.

When he starts talking about his four children, Guadalupe Rodriguez’s face immediately lights up. It is evident that he is very proud of them. “I have two sons and two daughters and three of them have already graduated from college and gone on to good work; one as a teacher and the others as therapists,” he explained. “The youngest is in high school, but she will go to college too. Radiologic Technology Program extends perfect pass-rate streak to 13 years

The NBA’s Boston Celtics are one of the most dominant teams in sports history with a record that includes winning eight straight league championships from 1958 to 1966. However, the Celtics’ streak pales in comparison to the 13-year streak enjoyed by South Texas College’s Radiologic Technology Program. New program creates mentor relationships for McAllen fifth graders

The McAllen ISD Alvarez Elementary School “Tigers” launched a mentor program for fifth graders in partnership with the South Texas College “Jaguars.” Alvarez Elementary, which is in close proximity to STC’s Pecan Campus in McAllen, serves students from kindergarten up to the fifth grade. Several staff from STC have been assigned to mentor up to three children from the school.
