South Texas College was recently honored by the Texas Distance Learning Association with an award for Outstanding Institutional Commitment to Service to TxDLA. The award honors colleges that go above and beyond in their support of TxDLA. Previous winners include Dallas Telelearning, Texas State Technical College Waco, and Tarrant County College District.

“STC has always been committed to creating access through distance learning opportunities and has been a proud member of TxDLA for more than 10 years,” said Oscar Hernandez, STC director of student learning and achievement. “Our participation with TxDLA has helped us learn and grow to create opportunities like our eSTC Virtual Campus, which serves more than 5,000 students. We sincerely appreciate the award to highlight our institutional commitment to creating opportunity through digital access.”
