The Beta Epsilon Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at South Texas College was recognized at the 2012 Texas Region Phi Theta Kappa Convention held in Midland, TX and at the 2012 International Phi Theta Kappa Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. The Beta Epsilon Mu Chapter received four certificates and a plaque recognizing the chapter’s active involvement in the region and internationally.
The chapter received the College Project Participation Award, the Honors in Action Participation Award, the Five Star Chapter Development Plan Award, and the 2012 Hallmark Awards Program. In addition, a plaque was presented to the chapter for the Honor in Action Award of Distinction in Technology. Congratulations to the 2011-12 BEM-PTK Officers and members for their great efforts to achieve these awards.
Furthermore, at the 2012 South Texas College’s Commencement ceremonies, 176 Phi Theta Kappa members received their degrees.
