South Texas College’s Mid-Valley Campus Library presents “Triple A + JJ: Artworks by Amanda De Hoyos, Amanda Owen, Ashley Sanchez and J.J. Balli,” a display of work by STC fine arts students. The exhibit is open now through Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at the Mid-Valley Campus Library (Bldg. E) located at 400 N. Border in Weslaco. “Reflections: Finding My Way Back,” featuring paintings by Juan Saenz is on display now through December 9, 2011 at South Texas College’s Nursing and Allied Health Library Art Gallery located at 1101 E. Vermont in McAllen. Admission is free and open to the public. Saenz is an art teacher at Jimmy Carter Early College High School in La Joya, where he teaches art appreciation classes. A new South Texas College Pecan Campus Library Art Gallery exhibit, “Four Decades of Chicana Art and Culture in Tejas and Beyond,” features paintings, drawings and prints by prolific Tejana artist Santa Barraza. The exhibit will be on display from Sept. 15 to Dec. 10, 2011.
