Ballet Folklórico South Texas College Presents Tradiciones 2018

After months of dedicated rehearsals, Ballet Folklórico South Texas College (BFSTC) will present their highlight performance of the year, Tradiciones 2018 on Saturday, Jan 27, at 7:30 p.m.

BFSTC is known for its traditional dances that highlight local folk culture with ballet characteristics. BFSTC has continued to share its roots in various community functions through their dancing all around the region.

Adolfo Salinas, Artisitc Coordinator for BFSTC says the dancers are ready for this performance.

“Tradiciones 2018 encompasses a mixture of history, tradition, live music and dynamic dancing for the whole family to enjoy. The group has been working hard in putting this event together and will present three new regions that include an Aztec worrier dance piece, a love story from the state of Nayarit, and a historic dance piece on the settlement and establishment of the people of Veracruz, among other regions that the crowd has previously enjoyed”.

The event gives the BFSTC department the opportunity to promote the students talent and culture.
