Student of the week: Enoch Gonzalez

Enoch Gonzalez

Currently a student in the Architectural & Engineering Design Technology Program (AEDT), Enoch Gonzalez continues to impress each of his instructors with his creative work he puts into each assignment. His instructors say he is an excellent example of a hard- working student at South Texas College and in the AEDT Program.

“What I love about this program is that they care about you in the manner of you finding a job. They actually want you to have an internship before you graduate so that you can learn professional practices at the same time that you’re finishing up your education,” said Enoch.

“I have been doing very well these past few semesters. I was fortunate to land a job with an engineering company in Weslaco. I credit this to the program as it has allowed me to excel in my skills along with building relationships along the way. I am getting the experience that I need while working towards my associates degree”.

Enoch is expected to graduate in May of 2018 with his associates in Architectural & Civil Engineering Technology.

He shares to fellow students, “Stay committed to your schooling. You may fall down but that doesn’t mean that you can’t pick yourself back up and try again.”

Top accomplishments:

“I’m officially in my last semester. There is no doubt that graduating this year is going to be an accomplishment. STC has many great programs and I do plan to continue my education here at STC.”

“I have been able to maintain a 4.0 point average at the same time being a father and attending to fatherhood duties outside of work and school”.

“The combination of schooling and work has brought some stability into my household. This is one of the best things I can do”.
