Starr County holds first Psychological Science faculty profile

South Texas College Starr County Campus held its inaugural Department of Psychological Science: Faculty Profile featuring guest speaker Dr. Linda Jackson, STC psychological science professor from the Pecan Campus.

Dr. Jackson elaborated on why she chose psychology as her major, her research interests in psychology, and how she uses psychology in her professional and personal life. Students provided excellent feedback, and over 100 were in attendance.

Alex Sarabia, STC Psychological Science Faculty, served as master of ceremonies and introduced STC Board Member Rose Benavidez for opening remarks.  The event was organized so that STC students in Starr County network and communicate with psychological science faculty from Pecan and Mid-Valley Campuses.

Event organizers want to hold the event every semester. In the fall and spring, and intends to feature a different psychological science faculty member.   Dr. Linda Jackson was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for her talk.  The Starr County Campus Psychology Club was in attendance.  Eli Sarabia and Alex Sarabia would like to thank everyone who made this event a success.
