College leverages partnerships with school districts to instill college-going culture   Growing up, Chelsey Sandoval recalls her first glimpse into a prospective nursing career while caring for her grandfather. Roberto Medrano can recall learning some of life’s most important lessons from his mother, the importance of giving back. Despite going to school full time taking both high school and college courses, Robert also helped in his community. 10th Annual Dual Enrollment Advanced Manufacturing Technology Competition

  The Advanced Manufacturing Technology program hosted its 10th annual Dual Enrollment Advanced Manufacturing Technology Competition on Thursday, April 26, at the Technology campus.  During the competition, students participated in eight categories. Winners were announced along with the 2018 scholarship recipients. At least 20 students received a scholarship  ranging from $500 -$1000 per semester from local major advanced engineering and manufacturing companies. South Texas College to hold High School Senior and Parent College Day

South Texas College will be hosting its annual High School and Senior Parent College Day on Saturday, May 20. Students will receive assistance with developing a degree plan, applying for financial aid, and enrolling for summer and fall courses. Students will also have the opportunity to sign up for the First Year Connection Orientation.
