STC named second in the nation for enrollment of Hispanic students by Hispanic Outlook Magazine

  Numerous programs at STC recognized by HO for awarding degrees to Hispanics South Texas College (STC) has been ranked second in the nation for total enrollment of Hispanics among two and four-year schools in 2015, according to Hispanic Outlook (HO) on Education Magazine. Of the 34,371 students enrolled at STC, more than 94 percent are Hispanic, according to HO. The magazine recently published its “Top 100 Colleges and Universities for Hispanics” with data collected from the 2015 school year. South Texas College’s Mid-Valley Campus open for Spring 2018 registration

The  staff  at South Texas College’s Mid-Valley Campus will be assisting students over the Winter Break with extended hours for Spring 2018 registration. Classes begin Jan. 22. 18-20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bookstore hours will also be extended Day, night, weekend, and online classes are available to accommodate busy schedules. Registration is now open for students applying for the spring 2018 semester. Students can save $60 when they register by the early bird deadline. Super Saturday at STC takes place Nov. 11

South Texas College will hold its fall Super Saturday event at its three main campuses; Starr, Pecan and Mid-Valley on Nov. 11 from 9 am to 2 pm. South Texas College will be hosting its women’s retreat event "Know Your Status” dedicated to raising awareness on a host of critical issues including sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS sexual health, mental health issues and self-care.
