South Texas College now accepting applications for Valley Scholars Program

$1000 annual scholarships available Over the last two decades, more than 800 young people have utilized the Valley Scholars Program at South Texas College to reach their dreams. Staff at STC are encouraging students to join a proud tradition of success and begin applying to the scholarship program for the 2017-2018 school year. Following official ribbon cutting, South Texas College set to open new student enrollment center. For the upcoming Summer and Fall semesters, students registering for classes at the South Texas College Pecan campus will avoid waiting in long lines at the old admissions, info & welcome centers thanks in part to a new Student Enrollment Center the college unveiled Tuesday. Providing accessibility and enhanced services to students and their families, South Texas College will hold a ribbon cutting for its newly renovated and state of the art Pecan Campus Student Enrollment Center on Feb. 14 at 11:30 a.m. Designed by Boultinghouse Simpson Gates Architects and completed by NM Contracting, LLC, the new admissions center will feature a one-stop open concept model to eliminate long lines. Super Saturday at STC Feb. 11

South Texas College will hold its annual Super Saturday event at its three main campuses; Starr, Pecan and Mid-Valley on Feb. 11 from 9 am to 2 pm. The event will be a one stop shop for students to complete their Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) or their Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) to avoid long lines or delays. “This event is about promoting the early FAFSA and TASFA submission for 2017-2018.
