Psychology Club announces 6th annual scholarship recipient

STC student and Starr County Campus Psychology Club Vice-President Eddie Amaro was presented with a Certificate of Recognition for being the 6th Annual Starr County Campus Psychology Club $1,000 Scholarship Recipient on Wednesday, April 19.  Eddie will graduate this May from STC with an Associate’s Degree in Psychology.  He has obtained an A in all of his psychology courses, except for one B.  He plans to transfer to the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree followed by a Master’s Degree in the field of Psychology.  At UTRGV, he would … Read More …

$1000 annual scholarships available Over the last two decades, more than 800 young people have utilized the Valley Scholars Program at South Texas College to reach their dreams. McAllen presents $400,000 grant to IAM at South Texas College

Hundreds of new and incumbent workers will benefit from a $400,000 grant awarded by the City of McAllen to the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing (IAM) at South Texas College. On Monday Dec. 12, South Texas College and the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley formalized 26 2+2 articulation agreements to provide a seamless transition for students in the Rio Grande Valley. South Texas College, the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, and the Consulate of Mexico in McAllen formalized an official IME Becas Memorandum of Understanding that will lay the foundation for a partnership seeking to increase the educational attainment level of Mexicans or persons of Mexican origin living in the US. South Texas College Student Wins Rees Scholarship for HVACR Training

Jose Manuel De Leon, a student in South Texas College’s HVAC&R Program has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship by the Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation.
