South Texas College Theatre Presents “The Illusion”

The South Texas College (STC) Theatre will present Tony Kushner’s “The Illusion” freely adapted from Pierre Corneille’s “L’Illusion Comique” starting on Feb. 22. Pridamant, a proud but aging desperate father, journeys to the cave of the wizard Alcandre, seeking information on the whereabouts of his runaway son. Alcandre grants Pridamant’s wish but the reality is more complex than fantasy. Through illusions, we explore and relate to themes of love, humor, betrayal, and death. STC Theatre 2017-18 Season Pass filled with Suspense, Conflict, Other Worlds, and History.

South Texas College Theatre returns for its eighth year with a full lineup of productions for the 2017-18 season filled with hauntings, conflict, other worlds, and history. The Theatre invites the community to become a Season Pass subscriber for another year of fun and quality entertainment. Ballet Folklórico South Texas College Will Perform at MD Anderson Hospital

Ballet Folklórico South Texas College (BFSTC) is known to the Valley for its traditional dances that highlight local folk culture with ballet characteristics and exaggerated movements. Since the creation of the program in January of 2012 by the Center for Mexican American Studies, BFSTC has continued to share its roots in various community functions through their dancing displays all around the region. South Texas College (STC) Theatre is ready to present Georg Büchner’s play Woyzeck which will run June 22 – 24 at 8 pm.  There will also be a Sunday 2 pm matinee on June 25 at STC’s Cooper Center for Communication Arts Main Stage, located at 3201 W. Pecan Blvd. in McAllen. Woyzeck is a soldier, father, and a God-fearing man. South Texas College (STC) Theatre is ready to take flight with Marc Camoletti’s Boeing Boeing which will run from February 23 – 25 at 8 pm. South Texas College Theatre kicks off their seventh season this month with its production of Jethro Compton’s adaptation of Dorothy M. Johnson’s short story The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
