As an educator, Pamela Lang says she sees many students who are eager to start businesses in the Rio Grande Valley. STC and TAMUK sign articulation agreement creating pathways for engineering and STEM students

For engineering students, the transition between South Texas College (STC) and Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) has never been easier. Now, there is a seamless pathway that will allow them to move from an associate degree to a bachelors degree due in part to a special collaboration almost three years in the making between the two institutions. STC and TAMUK held a signing ceremony of a 2+2 articulation agreement for engineering. On Wednesday, February 10, Educate Texas announced the grantees for the Texas Regional Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Degree Accelerator initiative. UTeach program gives future STEM teachers hands-on experience

South Texas College along with 10 other education institutions and local organizations met at the Pecan Campus in McAllen to set the wheels in motion and work together on a Planning Grant for the Texas Regional STEM Degree Accelerator Initiative.
