STC Spring Commencement to be held May 12-13

Ceremonies set for 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday South Texas College will confer nearly 4,000 degrees during its Spring 2017 commencement ceremonies on Friday May 12 and Saturday May 13.  Graduation will take place at the State Farm Arena. South Texas College AEDT hosts 2017 Sketcharrette

The Architectural and Engineering Design Technology Department hosted its 2017 Sketcharrette at the Mid-Valley Campus on April 26 . Students from the Architectural Illustration class were tasked with designing a house for their selected “client” (dog or cat). STC presents its 6th annual IT Career Expo April 20

The Information Technology Program at South Texas College will be hosting its 6th annual IT Career Expo on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at its Technology Campus Atrium. The Expo has been created to promote the program and career choices available within the IT industry in the Rio Grande Valley. Check presentation continues partnership between college and advocates for business in the community As part of its ongoing partnership with South Texas College, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce held a check presentation that will be used to continue designing prototypes for those participating in the city’s Inventors and Entrepreneurs Network. McAllen presents $400,000 grant to IAM at South Texas College

Hundreds of new and incumbent workers will benefit from a $400,000 grant awarded by the City of McAllen to the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing (IAM) at South Texas College.
