Public invited to explore career opportunities at STC’s RCPSE open house tours

STC’s Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence will host its first open house Tuesday, March 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

South Texas College’s Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence (RCPSE) will be hosting its first open house March 5.

The open house is an opportunity for the public to tour the facilities, watch demonstrations of driving and firearm simulators, and get a first-hand look at the campuses state-of-the-art equipment.

The STC Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence is the first border community college in the nation to establish integrative training for local, state and federal professionals in law enforcement, public safety, fire safety, and homeland security along with the US/Mexico border.

Megan Gower, Secretary for the Police and Fire Academy at STC, explains that coming to the open house will benefit students and the community.

“This is important because it will show students and potential students what they will gain from coming to our police and fire academy,” Gower expressed.

The open house is a part of Innovative Tech Week at STC.

Innovative Tech Week is a week designated to the tech fields and gives students the opportunity to discover the new possibilities of careers in technology.

The open house will take place Tuesday, March 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the STC RCPSE located at 3901 S. Cage Blvd. Pharr, TX.

For more information regarding the open house, please contact Megan Gower at 956-872-4200.
