STC community joins for Drive-Thru Program Fair in February

Program options and registration requirements available – without leaving your vehicle.

Summary

Amid the current COVID 19 pandemic, South Texas College has created its first Drive-Thru Program Fair open to those in the community seeking information about program offerings or registration services. The drive-thru event begins Feb. 3.

Faculty and staff at South Texas College will join forces to ensure that students receive a safe and secure start into the future career of their dreams.

Beginning next month, those seeking information about programs and registration at STC will be able to drive up and get the information they need without leaving their vehicles.

In response to safety guidelines amid the current COVID 19 pandemic, STC has created its first Drive-Thru Program Fair, which is open to students, parents, and the community.

“We are not letting the pandemic stop us from providing the community, and prospective students, with the information on all that we have to offer them; from degree options to registration and financial aid options,” said April Castañeda, Relations Manager for the Dual Credit Programs and Drive-Thru Program Fair Coordinator.

Visitors will be able to meet with STC faculty and college staff as they share information about registration, financial aid, and program options as safely as possible. Masks will be required for all vehicle passengers, who will have to remain in their vehicles at all times.

The drive-thru events will kick off on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at STC’s Nursing and Allied Health Campus from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It will then continue on Feb. 4 at the Starr County Campus from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; then Feb. 5 at the Mid Valley Campus also from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and conclude on Saturday morning Feb. 6 at the Pecan Campus and Technology Campus from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., respectively.
