STC Invites Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office Employees to Information Sessions

Summary

Staff and faculty with South Texas College’s Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence (RCPSE) have arranged a visitation between college personnel and law enforcement with Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 29-30.

Law enforcement professionals are invited to learn about the vast array of opportunities available for them through South Texas College.

Staff and faculty with South Texas College’s Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence (RCPSE) have arranged a visitation between college personnel and law enforcement Sept. 29-30.

This visit will provide prospective students the opportunity to speak with an STC representative to learn more about the programs available at South Texas College as well as the process to get started.

A recent partnership that allows peace officers the opportunity to convert their academy training in college credits has sparked interest from the qualified candidates to get back on track to complete their college degrees.

All Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office employees including commissioned personnel are welcome to stop by for information.

Sheriff Eddie Guerra is pleased to approve the visit as a proponent of education, and encourages all HCSO employees who wish to continue their education to stop by and take advantage of the opportunity.
