STC's Annual "A Night with the Stars" Gala aimed at promoting Valley Scholars Program
South Texas College will host its 13th Annual "A Night with the Stars" Gala, Thursday, Oct. 11.
The event, hosted by the STC Valley Scholars Program, will benefit program scholarships.
Since its inception in 1997, the program has enabled hundreds of students to reach for the stars and achieve their dreams. Valley Scholars receive up to $2,000 while pursuing a degree at STC. The program provides educational opportunities, leadership development, and scholarships to academically gifted and highly motivated students.
“The Valley Scholars Program promotes academic excellence at STC,” said Jessica S. Garcia, Coordinator of the Valley Scholars Program at STC. “We are very proud of our students and their success. Through the help of our sponsors, we provide scholarships to high performing students from Hidalgo and Starr counties. We are very thankful for the support we receive from the community and look forward to celebrating their generosity at the 13th Annual ‘A Night with the Stars’ Gala.”
