Get a workout in before your Thanksgiving meal as the Kinesiology Department hosts its 15th Annual Virtual Turkey Trot on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020.

This year, a virtual run will be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The community is invited to a donation parade on Saturday and are asked to bring a donation of 10 canned goods. Each donation will receive a commemorative t-shirt and goodie bag. Frozen turkeys will be awarded to the 1st, 50th, 100th, 150th, 200th, and 250th donation.

“All are welcome to join us on Saturday, November 21st to continue the tradition of helping families in need,” said Janice Ponce, Coordinator of Kinesiology Instructional Facilities. “The donation parade will be conducted in a safe manner, and by having a virtual run we are continuing our efforts to keep everyone safe and healthy.”

The Donation drop-off Parade will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the South Texas College Pecan Campus Cooper Center located at 3200 W. Pecan Blvd. in McAllen.
