Hurricane Expo 2019

The 2019 Rio Grande Valley Hurricane Ready Expo was held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at La Plaza Mall in McAllen, TX.

Mr. Jeremy Hinck, STC Physical Science instructor was the coordinator for the region wide event, which was designed to educate Rio Grande Valley residents about the risks, dangers, and actions to take before, during, and after a hurricane.

The expo included exhibits and booths which provided information regarding hurricane awareness and preparedness. The Physical Science department faculty who participated in the event included Mario Lopez, Physical Science Instructor, Dr. Wendi Williams, Geology Instructor, and Dr. Guanghua Xu, Physics Instructor.
