South Texas College’s Theatre Program announces auditions for its December production, Neil Simon’s “Rumors.” In “Rumors,” four couples are at the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. The party never begins because the host has shot himself in the head (it’s only a flesh wound) and his wife is missing. His lawyer’s cover up gets progressively more difficult to sustain as the other guests arrive and nobody can remember who has been told what about whom. Interactive play ‘Earth Watch’ to be presented this week at STC Cooper Center

Taking a page out of the Universal Studios script, the South Texas College Theatre will present the interactive science fiction play “Earth Watch,” written by STC Drama Instructor Jack Carroll and funded by a grant from the McAllen Arts Council. The show takes center stage from May 4 to 8 at the Cooper Center for Communication Arts Black Box Theatre, located at the Pecan Campus on 3201 W. Pecan Blvd. in McAllen.
