Do you want to beat the heat by continuing your college studies this summer? Don’t sweat it! There is still time to take advantage of Federal Pell Grant monies and other financial aid funds this summer. The deadline to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is Saturday, June 22nd. STC Pecan Campus open Dec. 19, 20

South Texas College’s Pecan Campus Student Services Building (Building K) located at 3201 West Pecan Blvd. in McAllen is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20 to help students prepare for the spring 2012 semester. Students can register for classes, receive advising, take needed placement tests, or pay any fees, tuition or fines. Mini-Mesters offer chance to take accelerated college classes in fall 2011

If you weren’t’ able to enroll in classes in time for the fall 201 semester or weren’t able to get in the class you need, South Texas College is offering students the opportunity to enroll in “Mini-Mester” courses to earn college credit at an accelerated pace. South Texas College will host its fifth annual Registration Rave at its Pecan Campus located at 3201 West Pecan Blvd. in McAllen and Mid-Valley Campus located at 400 North Border in Weslaco on Friday, Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. to midnight.
